Interweave is dedicated to the spiritual, political, and social well-being of Unitarian Universalists who are confronting oppression as lesbians, gay men, bisexual persons, transgender persons, and their  heterosexual allies, as we celebrate the lives of all our members. 

Membership to Interweave is open to all interested UUs, regardless of their sexual and/or gender identification.  In the past we have participated in SarasotaPride, as well as the Harvey Milk Festival.  We are an active member of GAIN (Gulfcoast Affirming Interfaith Network), which is devoted to finding common ground among the area's different faiths, and also to creating a sense of community among faith groups that welcome the gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders that are part of Sarasota County’s gay, or GLBT, community.
